Casting for Elf the Musical is well and truly done and dusted, and all you have to do now is buy Elf tickets and go to the show! The creative team behind Elf the Musical have already unveiled Sebastian Arcelus (he was electrifying as Bob Gaudio in “Jersey Boys”) as Buddy, the protagonist, and he will be amazing in Elf. Arcelus is no stranger to the big stage; he starred in “Wicked” and “Rent” and let’s face it, it doesn’t get any bigger than Wicked. Among the other players you can expect to see gracing the Elf the Musical schedule are Amy Spanger (“The Wedding Singer”), who will play Jovie, a New York department store employee who is looking for some holiday spirit, plus the biggie – George Wendt of “Cheers”! That’s right, everyone’s favorite barroom wit is transferring his talents to the stage for this memorable children’s production. Elf the Musical begins a couple of days of previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theater on November 2, opening proper on November 4.
